LAVENDER TRAINING CENTRE Training for Foundation Dentists
Our practice has been a training practice for foundation dentists for over ten years. The training is provided by Dr Marius Kaupas Dr Rakshini Ravindran and supported by our friendly and dedicated team.
We use state-of-the-art equipment, such as digital record keeping, digital radiography, laser detection of caries, composite materials, automatic amalgam packers, rotary endodontic machines and various types of hot and cold canal obturation systems, surgical equipment, IV sedation and several implant systems. In addition to collaborating with several dental laboratories, we also have on-site 3D printing facilities and equipment to cast impressions for diagnostic, treatment or study purposes. We encourage clinical DSLR photography and provide help and support for those wishing to develop this skill.
We believe in evidence-based dentistry and continuous education. We strive for excellence in a broad range of treatments, from simple evidence-based advice to complex restorative treatments. We believe that general dentistry is a specialisation in its own right. Therefore, we provide treatments in most major areas of dentistry. When necessary, we liaise with our colleagues to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
As a foundation dentist, you will be working with an experienced dental nurse and will receive continuous support throughout the year from all members of our team. We hope you will ask a lot of questions but we also respect your independence. The teaching is flexible and is driven primarily by the foundation dentist. In addition to the syllabus, you are welcome to address the professional areas that are most important to you.
